Expensive, crowded. Bartenders always seem to serve favourites hard to get service at bar, appy menu is dismal, steak sandwich is literally a steak biteFries are fresh out the fryer tho!
Came to have a nice dinner with my girlfriend before I went out of town for a few weeks but were asked for a $20 cover at the door for the Friday night country band so I asked if I could put it on our dinner bill and they refused saying its cash only! I said its 2018 and I dont carry cash on me so they rudely pointed to the $4 ATM machine but $24 before we even sat down at the table seemed a bit crazy for a no name band we havent heard of nor cared to listen to seemed a bit ridiculous so we left!Ive heard the food is great and hopefully give them a second look on a night when they dont have Garth Brooks playing!
Food was fantastic, service was great. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
I went to the Den for the first time a couple nights ago. My friends and I went around 830 ish and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor. The music at that time was really great as well. However, be prepared for the scene to change at around 9-9:30 as the music goes from old classics, to club pop quite quickly. The music gets louder, and the entire atmosphere changes quite quickly. Other than the dramatic shift, we had quite a good time. Good beer and good food to boot.
The place was very busy when we went in for a beer and were very lucky to find seats at the bar. It turns out that on Monday night it was steak night, for $8.50 you got a 6 oz sirloin, garlic toast, Caesar salad and a baked potato with all the fixins. What a deal! The servers were all friendly and everyone in the place seemed happy. I will definitely go back when in Grande Prairie.
