Lots of local history, well laid out. Friendly staff - free admission! The kids loved exploring in the historical buildings on site.
We loved it and stayed there for 3 hours. The kids had so much fun and it was free!
Was surprised at how much was in the museum. A pleasant surprise was seeing our father's army uniform with a name tag. It was a nostalgia walk through time.
This is not a Place I always think of going because I feel like I've seen it all. That being said. The last time I went which was a couple of weeks ago, the admin staff handed me a treasure hunt to do with my kids. That was a lot of fun and I appreciated the experience a whole lot more because of it! Worth checking it out whether you do the treasure hunt or not.
I've never been, which is unfortunate. We were blown away. We took our 16 month old son, and spent over two hours doing the indoor and outdoor scavenger hunts. Was actually a lot of fun!The amount of local history is incredible, even not being from here I left feeling a sense of pride. Highly recommend to anyone who lives in the area.
