We used to love this campground. The website says 21 full service sites but the new management uses one and the other 20 are usually long term use, so you will be lucky to get one of those. The back in sites, among the big trees and beside the playground are very small and difficult to get into. (They do not allow tents????) The pull though sites are basically in a parking lot. The internet is free because it is practically non-existent, even for just checking emails. It is close to shopping, but you must go through the college parking lot and down the walking trail to get to the campsites. The walking trail in Muskoseepi park is great but the trail does go through the campground so there are lots of people walking through. The major highway is right there so there is lots of noise all night. Despite all this, the people who used to manage the campground knew about customer service, they were friendly and helpful. The new management, not so much. The garbage bins are usually full to overflowing, but they lock them from 8 pm to 8 am!! With a big padlock!! So, get your camp cleaned up before 8 or you are keeping your garbage in your unit. There are no recycle bins for cardboard or plastic, just for refundable bottles and cans. After having an emergency repair done on our vehicle in the morning, we were charged extra for leaving a near empty campground, after 11 am checkout. Seriously!! We will try Camp Tamarack RV camp or Country Roads RV park next time.
My family and I are travelling from BC to NS. We had a rough start and some trouble with our RV when we neared grand prairie. Being Saturday night and nothing open til Monday.. with 2 small children we decided to try and find an RV campground for the night. We first tried Country road RV Park and they turned out to be way out of the way of everything...terrible road to get there and they are rude to boot. My mom didnt pull our RV over far enough and the lady come out yelling at me. Their parking lot was full and she told me she couldn't park anywhere I told her to move. I said to her where do you expect us to go then...she told me we could go somewhere else. I couldn't believe she would treat guests like that. I would give that place a 2 full thumbs down. So we got the grand prairie rv rotary park on our GPS and set out there. They were great. Didnt make us feel like we were inconveniencing them. They were extremely understanding with our situation and went above and beyond for us. The lady at the desk was quick to come to the office when we got there. She blocked us for an extra day without charging us in advance as we weren't sure how long we would be there. Monday morning we were able to get into Kals tire pretty early and they allowed us to come back to fill up our RV, dump out our septic and do our laundry even after checkout time as we were out early for the appointment. I would recommend this place over anywhere here. If I'm ever stuck out this way again...this is definitely where I'd go! 5 stars for location convenience and hospitality.
Sites are very small and cramped. Close by a busy road on one side but the campgrounds are down in a hollow so not too noisy (except for the ubiquitous Harley riders going by on the gas). Its an ok stay for a couple of days in centre of town. One camper had a generator stolen during the night.
Postage stamp sized space to put our trailer, no place for our truck. The lower area looked not too bad, but the upper is basically for workers who just need a place to sleep. It's a parking lot, not a place to relax and camp. Noisy at night because you are so closeto the next camper you can almost touch them. And the cost four the experience was way too much. The bathrooms were the only positive at this campground
Great! There was the sweetest 85 year old mad who was very lonely and he watched over my two young children while I did errands. Everyone in the campground are so nice.
